TUESDAY
August 4th


Day 2 - Tuesday, August 4th, 2026
Breakfast, on your own (Breakfast is included if staying at hotel) 
8:45am –  11:30am Tour Missouri Botanical Garden (MoBot) greenhouses and nurseries

12:00pm – 1:00pm Lunch, with speaker Dr. Raymond Cloyd on mealybug control

1:15pm – 3:30pm   Roam MoBot (optional guided tours)

3:30pm – 4:00pm    Bus to WashU

4:00pm – 6:00pm     Tour WashU greenhouses and facilities                   

Dinner is on your own

8:30am – 9:15am Enjoy coffee and introduction to the largest plant research facility in the region
9:15am – 10:00am Prairie tour

10:00am – 12:00pm DDPSC facility tours part 1

12:00pm – 1:30pm Lunch at DDPSC

1:00pm – 1:30pm Speaker Dr. Katie Murphy on plant phenotyping and imagine in CEA

1:30pm – 2:00pm  Speaker Dr. Nigel Taylor on food security

2:00pm – 2:30pm  Speakers Dr. Amy Funk/Dr. Antonio Brazelton from Jackie Joyner-Kersee Food, Agriculture, Nutrition Innovation Center

2:30 pm – 3:00pm Break, stretch your legs, discuss your awesome tours so far

5:00 pm – 5:45pm  Bus to the the Saint Louis University Teaching Garden and Orchard

AERGC is an all volunteer operated organization. Modest member dues defray costs with the production of our quarterly newsletter, our online forum and administration of our website. The organization is aimed at supporting educational greenhouse users and the industry involved with institutional greenhouses. Please have a look at our mission statement.

    There are no defined contribution levels as companies of varying sizes have differing ranges of discretionary funds. Typical sponsorships range from $500 to $1500 USD.
